Rotonda continues to grow in popularity because of its excellent position. It is far enough out of town to provide a peaceful location, but still close to shops and wonderful wide gulf beaches to the west and smaller, Caribbean style beaches to the south on the island. Both are a leisurely 15 minute drive. Rotonda is also within easy reach of airports with Tampa international 90 minutes away and both Sarasota and Ft Myers 50-60 minutes away. Road links are good with the I-75 passing just north of Port Charlotte and the 41 or Tamiami Trail going through Port Charlotte giving easy access to both North Port and Punta Gorda.
Fabulous Fishing Rotonda is perfectly placed for keen anglers. With the coast and the coastal waterway right on your doorstep, backwater fishing and salt water fishing are available. For a relaxing few hours, there are good fish stocks in the waterway behind the house. If you want to experience a day with Capt Jarrett Lombard, one of the top local fishing guides, we can arrange this for you. He runs several flats boats and takes up to 3 anglers at a time and can provide up to 4 boats at any one time, catering for parties of up to 12 anglers. The enthusiastic angler may well have seen Capt Lombard on the ESPN channel. He competes nationally in the Oh Boy O'Berto Redfish tournaments and his clients travel thousands of miles to spend a day with him. We can arrange this for you, subject to availability.
Great Golf There are plenty of golf courses in the area, but Rotonda alone offers 6, with the 7th and final course due in 2007. Palm Paradise is the perfect house for golf enthusiasts. The 'Golf Scoop' promotion in low season offers up to 2 adult guests and up to 2 children under the age of 14 (each must be accompanied by a playing adult), unlimited free golf on 4 of the Rotonda courses. There is a $50 administration fee and if golf karts are used, this is a personal expense. In High Season, the Golf Scoop is a 'must' if you play two or more rounds of golf a week. In high season 2007, the cost in additional to the fee is just $50 per person, per week. In the 2007 Festive Season and the High Season 2008, the rate will be $100 per person, per week. Still cheaper than paying for 2 rounds of golf a week!
Boating Bonanza This is such a special area for enjoying a boat for the day. You can take a boat on a guided tour for as little as $40.00, or you can book a boat for your family with or without a guide. A guide does make this trip extra special. They know where to take you, enjoy eating out at an island restaurant that you can only reach by water. See dolphins, Manatee and sea birds in their natural environment. This is a truly wonderful day and our local offices can arrange all of this for you
