Berghaus / Filokalon - Description of the Property

The old mountain house is situated directly at the feet of the imposant mountain Chelmos, which is famous for its mythological Styx-fountain. This spot is appropriate first of all for those who seek quietness and recovery. One of the most beautiful greek mountain landscapes offers numerous opportunities for leisure time: walks in pine woods and swimming in a river or in a mountain lake (water temperature 20-25 grade C, walking route ca. 1 1/2 hour, by car ca. 15 min.). Mountain climbers can spend a night on the peak of Chelmos (2300 m above sea) in a mountain house, and in winter time skiing is possible in 20 km prepared runways.

The house, in the middle of a naturally grown garden, offers one living room, three bedrooms, one living-room-kitchen with a two-plates-E-oven, one shower-bathroom, an open fire place, a winter garden, and sleeping opportunity for 8 persons.

In the two taverns of the idyllic village of Peristera (600 meters away) you can eat and purchase food, especially delicious milk-lamp or fishes. The other villages (Agridi, Chalkianika, Barbara, Bounarianika) are in 1-5 km distance. The biggest one is called Zarouchla, which is registered in the map of Peloponnes. The village Peristera is 30 kilometer (South) far away from Akrata, which is in a 30 km (East) distance to Egion/Selianitika
