Château de Poudelay - Description of the Property

Located 60 kms south of Toulouse and only 25 kms to the romantic Pyrenées, this beautiful Château offers 6 recently renovated, in original style Chambres d'Hôtes and 2 lovely self catering cottages. Set in 80 acres park and wood, it is the ideal place for birdwatchers and lovers of unspoilt rural nature. 19th century chapel, terrace, pond.

We have 6 spacious and comfortable rooms, which all have a private bathroom and fireplace, 2 of them with kitchenette and private living room. All rooms offer beautiful views to the surrounding landscape. They have been recently renovated, each with its own individual character. All rooms have a king size bed, except one single room. There is satellite TV and telephone in each room. Breakfast is included in rates.

There are many other places for our guests to relax in the Château: the Winter Garden, the " Petit Salon " and the Panorama Room. Breakfast is either served in the old kitchen or, in the summertime, on the terrace overlooking the garden with our private 19th century chapel. There is also a dining room, with marble fireplace and original " Art Nouveau " wall covering. Please note that all rooms and the other areas in the Château are NO SMOKING.

Chambre Napoléon
This is the room in which Napoléon III slept when he was staying in Chateau de Poudelay. Very elegant double room with canopy bed, mezzanine sitting room, monumental chimney, ensuite bathroom. Nice views to the chapel. Beautiful sunsets can be enjoyed from here.

Suite Rhapsodie
Double room with private bathroom, private sitting room, kitchenette, open fireplace, huge French windows offering nice views to the landscape and splendid sunrises.

Suite Guerre et Paix
Double room with private bathroom, private sitting room, kitchenette, private 30 m2 salon with monumental fireplace, once the Château's main salon.

Suite Poésie
Single room with private bathroom and sitting room, single canopy bed and a nice view to the chapel.

Chambre Symphonie
Romantic double room with canopy bed and monumental chimney. En-suite elegant bathroom. Nice views to park and chapel.

Family Suite Harmonie
A sunny suite composed of two rooms (parents room with canopy bed, childrens room with two small canopy beds) and en-suite bathroom.

All prices for the Chambres d'Hôtes are per night and includes breakfast - minimum stay is 2 nights.

All rooms are no smoking. Children younger than 6 years are at no charge.
Children older then 6 years €12.50 per night in parent's room.

Table d'Hôtes (Dinner) €32 per person. Vegetarian food available.
