The regions rolling hills and charming countryside also make it especially attractive for nature lovers. Popular outings include the ferry trip to the island of Fur, with its impressive moler cliffs that dominate the coastline. Other activities include a tour of an extensive system of chalk mines, which are now home to large colonies of bats.
