This charming holiday home in the heart of Central Jutland is located beside the Gudenåen River, and surrounded by undulating hills, woodland and fields. The close proximity of the woods to the rear means that you will feel close to nature and wildlife throughout the day. Anglers are advised to bring their own fishing rod and tackle, as the river offers some good opportunities to land a catch. Fishing is not allowed from the adjacent bridge but you can paddle out on the houses own canoe or try your luck from one of the designated fishing areas along the riverbank (around 10 minutes walk away). Overall, this region offers some excellent opportunities to combine an active holiday with some serious rest and relaxation. Popular local pastimes include walking in the rolling hills and canoeing in the network of rivers and lakes. Cycling is another popular activity, with local destinations including the nearby Monastic Museum, which is located on the site of a historic monastery. Alternatively, the whole family is sure to enjoy a sailing trip on the historic paddle steamer Hjejlen with the Himmelbjerg, Denmarks highest hill (147m), as a backdrop. The market town of Ry, which is located in the immediate vicinity of this holiday home, boasts many good inns and restaurants and is a charming place to enjoy a meal or drink.
