Haus Wussler, the modern guest house of our traditional Black Forest farm was built in 1992. It is located on a sunny plateau with a unique panoramic view of the Kinzig Valley. It is surrounded by meadows and forests and provides quiet and recreation from the hectic life of the city.
Haus Wussler is family-friendly, but singles, couples and elderly guests enjoy their holidays here, too.
Relax in the comfortably furnished modern holiday apartments (4 stars DTV) with either balcony or terrace and front garden.
The garden and barbecue-area, the large sun-terrace with a splendid panoramic view as well as the playground invite adults and children for relaxation and communication.
The Black Forest farm was built in 1839. There is still traditional cattle breeding, forestry and a distillery. Various animals, such as cows, calves, ponies, little goats, potbelly pigs, rabbits, chickens and ducks are waiting in the stables and paddocks for our grown-up and young guests.
The spacious meadows and the low-traffic area offer sufficient room for games. The adjoining forests are suited for walking and mountain-biking.
Our home-made products and high-quality 'Schnaps' from our own distillery, make a typical German country-side vacation perfect.
Haus Wussler is only 3.5 km away from the historic City of Gengenbach with its medieval town centre, idyllic narrow streets, half-timbered houses, towers and gates. There are many shops and supermarkets as well as traditional restaurants, inns, wine taverns and cafés. It provides facilities for wellness, sports and recreation. There are museums, cultural events, entertaining programs for children, open-air swimming pools, parks, wine-fairs and traditional celebrations (e.g. the carnival). Join the night-guard on his tour or visit the farmers' and the weekly market . Watch the largest 'advent calender' (German Christmas tradition) of the world with a Christmas market in December.
There are many destinations for excursions nearby, e.g. Freiburg, Baden-Baden, Strasbourg, Alsace/France, the Triberg Waterfalls, the open-air museum 'Vogtsbauernhöfe', famous 'Europapark Rust', the 'Dorotheen'-Glassworks, the castle hill 'Geroldseck' (ruin), the Baden Wine-Road, Lake Titi, Lake Schluch and many more.
The golf club 'Gröbernhof' is approx. 10 km away. Cross-country skiing as well as sledging are possible nearby. The next skiing areas are located in Schonach and Schönwald (approx. 40 minutes by car).
