The visitor should not be misled by the term 'Medieval Old Town' thinking that what he will see is a ruined city, such as in Italy.The Old Town of Rhodes is a busy neighborhood of 6,000 people, who live and work in the same buildings in which the Knights of St. John lived six centuries ago; as a living monument to the past it must be nearly unique in Europe, if not the world. Even the visitor whose stay in Rhodes for no more than a few hours should not miss to walk around it,as the Old Town is a Paradise for Gold - and Diamonds Buy's and as well Leather & Fuers.
The Old Town continues today to be divided into the two parts which made it up in the time of the Knights: the northern part, which was the internal fortress of the Knights, known as the Castello, and which contained the official buildings; and the larger southern part where the Greeks, the Europeans who were not members of the Order and the Jews lived. These two parts of the town were separated by a wall running approximately parallel to the line of Sokratous street, the old Bazaar.
During the years of Turkish occupation,500 m to the Tuerkish Bath (Hamam) the Greeks were banned from the Old Town, which was the exclusive province of Turks and Jews.

Directly in the center, behind a high wall you will find hidden on 135 sq m Villa Roxanne. with 350 sq garden.On the ground floor is the large living room with comfortable seating and library, fireplace, TV & satellite, telephone (free local calls),free wireless and a dinning area.To the kitchen leads a low passage with a semicircular arch (listed building) and there you will find all necessary kitchen equipment and a washing machine. A wooden staircase leads to first floor, to the two bedrooms with each one with a double bed and the bedrooms got air condition.One of the bedrooms got adding a wooden balcony (where can stay 2 persons) and a fireplace.The bath is located in the middle and has a massage shower and bidet.In the whole house are mosquito nets inside the windows and the shutters are adjustable to dark the rooms.
On the terrace, guests can have their meals under the sun umbrella and a sitting area and the garden invites you to enjoy the hammock or the barbecue .
