Description of the Property - Vacation Home Co Kerry
Cable House has just been extensively renovated and my amateur photos don't do it justice. I'm in the process of creating a web-site and will forward the URL when done.
At the moment Cable House sleeps 9 (+ 2) comfortably - 2 Double Rooms - 2 Twin Rooms - 1 Single Room and there is also a Sofa bed which would sleep 2 people. There is also a cot and a high chair available. Because Cable House is a listed building I'm restricted with any renovations that need to be done. There is a toilet and hand basin downstairs and upstairs there is a bathroom with power shower and a separate toilet. The house is 2000 sq ft with large garden so there is plenty of space for everyone!
Cable House is renovated to the highest standard. Just off the famous Ring of Kerry, there is so much to see and do on the Island and surrounding area that one trip is never enough, everyone returns again and again!! From Dinosaur footprints to Glanleam's Tropical Gardens to a beautiful safe rocky beach (ideal for crab fishing) 10 steps away, not to mention a fabulous trip to Skellig Rock (a World Heritage Site) this is really one of Kerry's best kept secrets. I myself only discovered Valentia Island last year and fell instantly in love with it, so much so I purchased Cable House within 2 days of visiting Knightstown.
Just to mention also, the island is incredibly safe for children with wonderful restaurants and pubs within easy reach. The beach is just 10 steps in front of the house and it is very safe to swim there. There is a supermarket in the next village, Chapeltown, and also a well stocked corner shop in the village which is a 5 minute walk from the house. Cahirciveen is the main town, there is a ferry service during the summer which is a 5 minute crossing to Cahirciveen. Otherwise it is possible to travel down to the bridge at Portmagee and travel to the mainland that way. (Travel time 20 mins).

I have a family of 4 and we found most relaxing. The lake is at the front gate. Very peaceful. The house has all the mod cons and we will be back.
