LA MATILDA
Country Vacation House.

The Country House Matilda is on a large private piece of land, 1,500 square meters of fruit bearing and other native trees, in a perfect natural cantabrian surrounding . What´s more, the river that crosses the land, with its´natural stone bridge, gives the place a special charm that makes contact with nature even more intense. The privacy makes it a perfect atmosphere to sunbathe, read, paint… Santillana de Mar is 7 kilometers away, and the beach at Cóbreces (with fine sand) is 4 kilometers away. Santander is at a distance of 35 kilometers.

Being a private location, surrounded by high stone walls, and destined only for its´ guests´ use, the house is ideal for a peaceful stay, relaxation and meditation. Only the sounds of the birds and the running water can be heard.
The river also has geese and ducks, and these inoffensive animals are a delight to the smallest children. The property has a barbecue and utensils for the use of the guests, as well as stone tables to enjoy one´s food outside in the fresh air.

You can take cars onto the property, and they will be totally isolated and hidden from the exterior as well as from the guests in the house.

The house has 105 square meters of useful space distributed among a kitchen/dining room, living room, and 2 bedrooms with a total of 7 beds (plus one supplementary bed), and a bathroom. The house has kitchen utensils, blankets, modern vitroceramic stove, refrigerator/freezer, television, microwave oven, dishwasher, clothes washer, coffee pot, and glass door shower.

The sheets, towels, and shower rug (included) are totally clean and disinfected. Heating: The house has electric radiators throughout.

The prices depend on the amount of people per day who stay.
- Minimum 260 Euros per stay
- In order to favor the tranquility of the rural surroundings, renting of the house for large celebrations such as bachelor parties and such is not permitted.
- In july and august, rentals are from Saturday to Saturday
- Pets are allowed

The village of Novales, in the municipality of Alfoz de Lloredo, is a perfect place for tourism and beachgoing, being situated in a center of very attractive and popular villas. For example, Santillana de Mar is only 7 kilometers away, and the beach at Cóbreces (with fine sand) is 4 kilometers distant.

The priveliged location of Novales gives the village a special climate, softer than the rest of the province and, because of this, fruit such as lemons and kiwis are in abundance. The village has a grocery store, bars, a national health center, farmacy and banks, as well as excellent restaurants where for a good price one can try all kinds of Cantabrian and Spanish dishes.

Novales has spectacular landscapes and maintains the beloved atmosphere of the cantabrian villages. Among its´ attractions is the baroque church of La Asunción, from the the sixteeenth century (constructed in 1574- the belfry can be seen from the property) that contains valuable alterpieces.
