Faliraki is located at the northeast part of the island of Rhodes, about 14 km ( 9 miles) from the harbor and the city of Rhodes and about the same distance from Rhodes international Airport.
This beautiful resort area is part of the Kalithies village, which is about 1 km away. Faliraki was established in the late sixties, with just a couple of small tavernas, catering mainly to the few Greek tourists and fishermen.
Up until the end of the sixties, Faliraki was just another agricultural area, well known for the superb tasting grapes, figs and tomatoes.
At the beginning of the seventies, Faliraki started to attract more and more tourists from many parts of Europe. Within a few years thanks to the beautiful and long sandy beach, Faliraki had many hotels and Rental apartments able to accommodate several thousands tourists. The greatest expansion of tourism however, took place in the eighties and Faliraki became the largest and most popular resort of the island. Today, Faliraki, with its entire infrastructure, is capable of accommodating about 40,000 tourists on a daily basis. It offers visitors of all ages and all tastes and budgets.
Besides the main beach of Faliraki, there is also the small graphical Kathara Bay beach and the naturally shaped and secluded Nudist beach. Additionally, there are another two small bays that attract many tourists; it is the Ladiko beach and the Anthony Quinn bay, named after the famous actor. This is where the Guns of Navarone was filmed.
All the beaches in Faliraki are fully organized, with public toilets, showers, umbrellas and sun beds, a variety of water sports for all ages, shuttle boats to Simi and Lindos, snacks bars and restaurants.
Faliraki is well known for its nightlife! At the center of Faliraki there are the Bar and Club Street, which attract all the young tourists. Away from the center of the town you will find many traditional greek tavernas, bars and cafeterias for more quite and relaxing evening out.

"Nephele" is an accommodation facility built as lately as in 2004, in the region of Faliraki, in the island of Rhodes. Conveniently situated, the facility lies within short distance from practically all venues and installations warranting a pleasant and comfortable stay. Only a few meters separate our premises from the motorway connecting the City of Rhodes and the township of Lindos whereas a 10-minute walk suffices for our guests to get to the beach and downtown Faliraki, abounding in ouzo snack-bars, taverns, night-clubs, shops ea.
The facility consists of two (2) studios (of a capacity of 2-3 persons each) and four (4) apartments (fit for 2 to 4 persons). All studios and apartments are fully furnished with all necessary equipment, namely a stove, water boiler, microwave oven, fridge, satellite TV, air-conditioning, safe, hair dryer, all cutlery and crockery required to prepare and enjoy breakfast or a regular meal.
Each of the apartments on the first floor dispose of two verandas with a view on the sea. Apartments on the ground floor have been endowed with their own, individual terrace, ideal for relaxation over coffee or your meal.
Our guests are certain to appreciate the arrangement and decoration of the premises-different in each one of the apartments, combining tradition and modern trends, warranting comfortable vacationing.
The facility has been appropriately equipped to allow for accommodation of handicapped persons.
