Located 6 kilometres from the holiday home is Hørby Færgekro, an inn offering good, traditional Danish food in a charming setting with an attractive view of the fjord. This entire region is full of family-friendly sights and attractions, including four separate golf courses, Scandinavias largest model railway at Svinninge (22 km), and Odsherred Zoo and Wildlife Park (22 km), home to 600 animals and 85 different species. The amusement parks of Sommerland Sjælland and BonBonland offer plenty of fun for all the family, while the Iron Age museum at Lejre (44 km) provides a fascinating glimpse into a bygone era. The Malergården at Plejerup (15 km) is an old farm turned into a haven for artists by the well-known Danish painter Sigurd Swane. The Asnæs region is home to two more art museums, the Odsherreds Museum of Art Museum (19 km), and the Asnæs House of Art (20 km), both of which house interesting temporary exhibitions.
