Abene got known by his Festival of African Art and Culture which is taking place every year.
Abene is an artist village.
Besides drumming and dance classes you can also book curses in drawing, painting,tie and dye, plastic art, and traditional African woodcarving.From here you can book your discovery tour to the National Park or excursions to the surrounding.You can rent a landrover with his driver and guide as well as bikes.

Out of the village, direction to the ocean, lies DJIGNABA, just a stone's throw from the beech. The 3 ha big natural estate, situated in a wavy dune landscape, is covered with shady Tamba trees and palms by the banks of the bolong. It offers hided niches where you can be by yourself for to draw and to drum or just listening to the incessant roaring of the see and the chirping of the birds.
In the land there is a football place where one can make his training or play soccer.
The long natural fine sand beeches invite for long walkes to the neighbour villages, for jogging, walking, swimming or playing.
DJIGNABA GUESTHOUSE, the holyday home, lies in the middle of the property but it has his own entrance and court. It is surrounded by magnificent flaming blossom. Its shady court is an oasis in the high noon heat where you can have your siesta undisturbed.
