Set in beautiful rolling countryside between the spectacular Lakeland fells and the majestic North Pennines lies the unspoilt picturesque village of Gamblesby. Church Court Cottages are around a private courtyard directly opposite St John's church.
The Barn sleeps four people in two bedrooms (one double, one twin) and has a large upstairs living / dining room / kitchen with views out to the wonderful surrounding North Pennines hills. There is shared use of the pretty courtyard and its garden furniture and barbeque.
The large room upstairs has a high vaulted and beamed ceiling and is accessed by gated stairs from downstairs. There are two comfortable sofas to relax in while reading, playing a game or watching a DVD or your favourite programme on the wide flat screen TV. A wood-burning stove adds to the comfort.
The well equipped kitchen has a good range of appliances including a dishwasher, electric oven and hob and fridge/freezer. Ample cutlery, crockery and utensils are provided. The dining table has six chairs and a highchair is available.
The hallway, accessed from the courtyard through the glass panelled entrance, provides ample space for outdoor clothes and shoes to be stored. The two double bedrooms and the fully tiled shower room are located down the hallway.
A washing machine and tumble drier are under the stairs.
The pretty double bedroom with a beamed ceiling and furnished in pine with a double bed and a double wardrobe and chest of drawers providing plenty of storage and hanging space. The window looks out over the rear garden.
The twin bedroom has a beamed ceiling and has views over the rear garden with its abundance of birdlife. There are two single beds, a pine double wardrobe and a chest of drawers. A TV/video player is provided.
The shower room is fully tiled and has a walk in shower area with an electric shower. There is a hand basin and toilet and all the modern fittings are chrome.
The paved courtyard provides ample seating areas from which to take in the surroundings and enjoy the tranquility of this pretty village. There is a barbeque provided for guests to use. Parking space is allocated for each cottage.
