Description of the Property - Hotel 0LW
Port Bannatyne is a yachting and fishing village in the north of the unspoilt and unexplored Isle of Bute in Scotland. The village has a fine golf course, a yacht marina and boatyard, a Petanque pitch and a fine golf course. There are two pubs, a fish and chip shop, a Post Office, and right in the centre: THE PORT ROYAL HOTEL. It is the village inn, built three hundred years ago, and housing a fine restaurant and bar with a fully professional kitchen, and four inexpensive guestrooms. The restaurant is trhe Famous Russian Tavern, since the owners are a Russian family and rcreate the fine dishes of the Russian Imperial era with freshly landed seafood, fine Scottish game and ranched beef.
The tavern also serves local real beers direct rom the casks and a fine selction of Russian beers, wines and vodkas. The views from the tavern are truly a film-set. Outside the seals and curlews share trhebeach while to the rear wild deer anmd hares graze the golf course.
The journalst Roger Mortimer has ollected a series of blogs, reviews and articles about the Isle of Bute which may be read on: http://del.icio.us/RogerMortimer
