Description of the Property - Hotel Matala-Crete

My name is Dimitris Houstoulakis and I own and run Dimitris Villa with my wife Eleni. We have three children, Marianthi, Giorgos and Dimitris-Junior. We very much enjoy having families with children stay with us, so the children can play together and enjoy the safe, child friendly environment.
We speak Greek, English and also understand a little German. The best part of our job is the opportunity we have to meet people from many different countries. We often organise 'International' nights where people cook something traditional from their home country and we share it all together with good wine and a lot of fun.
We will recommend places for you to visit to make the most of your stay in our beautiful island.
Matala - the place of spectacular sunsets, a small fishing village where the caves became a paradise for the 'hippies' in the 70's. The hippies are missing, but Matala magic still flows and the village has been spruced up - well done!

Hospitality in Greek language treasures as one of the most precious values and inheritance we got from our ancient Greek roots and the Cretan culture. We mean to offer this to our guests while they stay in our hotel.
The hotel has 15 A' class rooms, all of them with their own bathroom, balcony,Air-Contition,Heating, fridge,Satelite TV,swimming-pool for adults and pool for childrens, safe-box and phone. There is also the possibility for you to organize excursions all over the island with air-conditioned busses or even by renting a car or bike from us at the best prices.
There are many scheduled and chartered flights to the airport in Iraklion. If you tell me ahead of time when you will arrive, I can arrange to have a friendly taxi driver wait in the airport for you with a sign with your name on it. He can then drive you to my apartments (the fare is around 45 euros).
Or I can arrange a to have a hire car of your choice ready for you at the airport, where you be met by a helpful representative who will settle the formalities quickly and take you to your car.
Of course, in our tavern, near the pool and surrounded by flowers, you can enjoy your breakfast or a delicious traditional Cretan lunch. You might like to know that we also provide the meat for the snacks.
There are two swimming pools with sweet water , one for adults and one for children , a big terrace with sunchairs and umbrellas free of charge for our guests .
The beach is just 200m away, and the place is sorrounded by trees and greenery, making it an ideal place for a relaxing vacation!
Also, we offer Internet access for reading and sending e-mails for all of you interested.
