Piedmont is famous for its excellent wines and cuisine. It has much more to offer: lovely towns and cities, such as Alba, Barolo, Saluzzo, Cuneo and Turin; romantic castles and forts; a unique landscape with softly rolling hills, vineyards, forests and valleys. In the Langhe, the area around our home, there are many possibilities to hike and bike. If you wish, we will accompany you on an adventurous hike through gorges and vineyards! If you would like to go swimming in the Mediterranean, the Linguine Coast is just 65 km away. Yes, Piedmont is an ideal spot for a long, peaceful and regenerating holiday.
We are a swiss couple and we live here with our two dogs and four cats. Our home and vineyards, "Podere Margherita", is two hours away from the Swiss boarder or 120 km from the airport Casselle a Turin, where you can rent a car and reach us easily.
After your arrival, you may relax in our spacious garden and enjoy the peaceful countryside.
From our terrace and garden, you see the lovely rolling hills, vineyards, forests and the South Alps.
"žPodere Margherita is 4 km. away from the little town of Dogliani Behind our private home, we have built a holiday house in the former stable for our guests. Our property consists of a big garden, farmland and vineyards, the private house and two holiday houses for our guests.
Our lovely, little, cosy "žOfenhusli" for 2 persons, has a balcony and a private outdoor sitting area. The well equipped kitchen is in the ground floor of the house. On the second floor, there is a living room with a bed sofa, a bedroom with a queen-sized bed, and a bathroom with a shower.
Our charming 3 room holiday house for 2 "“ 4 persons has a separate entrance. It has a balcony and 2 outdoor sitting areas. The living area has a well equipped kitchen and a table large enough to sit six persons. There are 2 bedrooms. Each room has 2 beds. The bathroom has a shower. The view from this balcony is also lovely and if the sight is clear you can see the south Alps.
Because you reach one of the bedrooms through a separate door off of the balcony, this apartment can be either rented with one bedroom or two. This little room is very handy - especially if two couples rent the house or if you have teenagers.
