The numerous churches of the historic center as weil as the Arabic quarters make the town very pleasant to visit as weil. The nearby sandy beach is a long stretch of natural beauty spanning across important natural monuments such as the ' white point 'and the ' Turkish steps '.
A small way out of the city brings you to the native home of Luigi Pirandello.
