Monteriggioni Castello is the name of a charming holiday-house within the medieval walls of Monteriggioni. The castle is a typical example of a fortified village right in the heart of Tuscany a few km away from Siena, San Gimignano, Colle Val d' Elsa and Castellina in Chianti. The holiday-house has been recently restructured according to its original architectural plan. It is both elegant and refined and being family-run it also has an informal atmosphere. The antique furniture, the Persian carpets, the hand-woven curtains, the precious wall paper and paintings of quality take the visitors back in time while keeping them pampered in exclusive surroundings. Staying in Monteriggioni Castello does not only offer the advantage of staying in peace and tranquility but also of being able to live within a charming castle rich in art whose walls have lived a glorious history. It is the perfect place for those who love a taste of refined living couched in a unique atmosphere.
The holiday-house Monteriggioni Castello is considered to be a suite for all the elegance and comfort it offers. It is within the walls of Monteriggioni in one of the castle's picturesque, medieval streets. Monteriggioni Castello has the typology of a Tuscan hut, separated from the other houses and with its own independent entrance. It has one floor and is 68m² wide with 2 bedrooms "“ one having a double-bed and one having 2 separate beds "“ a kitchen, a dining-room, a bathroom with a shower and a hair-dryer, a laundry room, a private courtyard and a private parking-space with an automatic gate. It can house 5 people ( 4 + 1 ). Entrance to the house is through a private entry: once the gate is opened you walk into a private courtyard for the exclusive use of our guests. From the courtyard one goes to the warm and welcoming dining-room. The hall has wooden beams, walls of stone and a traditional floor in paved "cotto fiorentino" which have all been restored to their original splendor. These, together with the antique furniture, create a delicate atmosphere. Despite its antique style, the hall has modern comforts such as a satellite tv, internet, a video-recorder, a dvd and cd-player and a safe. The kitchen is the traditional Tuscan style with hot and cold water-taps, a cooker, an oven and a fridge. It also has spare crockery for your own guests. The bed-rooms have been white-washed in warm colors, with bedspreads to match, studied to strike and steal our visitors' emotions. In the 2-bed bedroom, the colors of the walls are subtle with scenes of Tuscan countryside. From the window one can see the gardens, the village's walls and the medieval towers. The other bedroom is very big with carpets and a romantic atmosphere. Our guests will therefore find themselves in an unusual, luxurious and exclusive place with an atmosphere that blends spiritual well-being with physical and mental relaxation.
