Sarteano is a well known village set among the ancient Etruria sweet hills, at the slope of Mount Cetona. From the height of 573 meters above the sea it overlooks the Chiana Valley and most part of Umbria. Sarteano is in the middle of one of the most famous area in the world as for art, history, archaeology and natural beauty as well. The region is also famous for thermal baths and in Sarteano you will find the fantastic "Parco delle Piscine", three pools of thermal water from the so called Holy Bath, known from the ancient time.
During the month of August takes place an exciting show all over Sarteano: the Saracino's giostra. Historical parades, phantasmagorical shows and a final knights tournament will enable you to live a real Renaissance life.
Very close to Sarteano there is Castiglioncello del Trinoro, beautiful little village up on a high hill with one of the most incredible view on the Orcia Valley.
If you are interested in archaeology in Sarteano you will find traces of the Etruscan and the Latin civilization at the local Museum as well as nearby where many archaeological sites are open daily.
The house is at the first floor of an ancient building (1500) and can be divided in 2 apartaments.There\'s an ancient oil painting on a wall in one of the bedroom!
