Two and a half hours from Athens and 35 km from Patras, you will find an
ideal stop opposite to the Korinthian bay for those of you who wish to
explore the wider region of Achaia. Gero - Fotis residence, located to the
rural village of Lakka is welcoming you to offer you some true moments of
calmness in its rooms, all decorated with old-style items and furniture
taking you years back. Enjoy the warm hospitality of Vassiliki.
Number of rooms: 5 (2 double rooms, 1 triple room, 1 room for 4 and 1
apartment for4-5persons)

The apartment, the room for 4 which is also equipped with a fireplace and
the triple room, are located on the ground floor and have access to the
common courtyard. The 2 double rooms located on the first floor have a small
balcony with an amazing sea view or a view at the vineyards.
They all include central heating, a ventilator, a bathroom (shower), a hair
dryer, a small fridge, a TV, a balcony or the common courtyard.
The apartment has two separate rooms and an equipped kitchen (with all the
basic cooking equipment). It is connected with the room for 4 and they can
be rent together if needed

Pets allowed This big neoclassic building which is dating from 1892 and has
been renovated in 2003 accommodates 5 rooms in its two levels. There at your
disposal, on the first floor, a lobby with a dinning room and a fireplace.
There you will also find the reception whereby you may get some useful
information concerning the region. This big traditional residence is
decorated with many books, gadgets, carpets, handicraft and old antiques,
which are only some of the belongings of grand father Fotis.
The traditional breakfast, which is composed from home-made local products,
during summer time, is served at the courtyard, from where the view at the
vineyards and the Korinthian bay is really amazing.
Local Interest
The mountain village Lakka is built at an elevation of 650 meters and at a
distance of 9 km from Egio, between mountain and sea. There you may also
find a traditional coffee shop and a tavern.
The wonderful beaches of Akoli and Selianitika are 9 km away. Starting from
the village we suggest you take some nice walking tours towards the
mountain.
The wetland of Aliki, at a distance of 10 km, is considered as a shelter for
more than 200 rare species of birds. Do not miss to visit Egio and its two
museums, the Archeological and Folklore museum.
At a distance of about 20 km you will find Diakofto, a village where from
departs the train to Kalavrita. The train passes through some picturesque
scenes, from the canyon of Vouraikos and the journey lasts for about 1 hour.
Half way you will find the Monastery of 'Megalo Spileo' which is worth
visiting.
Next to Kastria, 16 km away from Kalavrita, you mat visit the Cave of Limnon
(guided tour).
During winter time, the lovers of ski will make a stop to the ski center of
Kalavrita and the slopes of Chelmos to practice their favorite sport (60km).
