Fish and swim in summer. Ski in winter. Relax in a scenic area year-round. This is a large, house-size cottage, with attractive rustic design and all the comforts of home. It is on a small lake, Metcalf Pond, and just 13 miles from Smugglers Notch, a world-class ski area. The area is among the most scenic in Vermont.
The house has three bedrooms. Upstairs, a master bedroom with queen-size bed and walk-out balcony, plus a bedroom with two single beds and two pull-out trundle beds. There is a small upstairs bathroom.
Downstairs is a full kitchen complete with dishwasher, dining area, and living room with gas fireplace. A downstairs bedroom with pull-down murphy bed plus comfortable futon couch-bed can also be opened up as extension of living room if not needed as a bedroom. Downstairs bathroom is large, with full tub and shower, also washer and dryer for laundry.
A three-season enclosed porch includes a cozy wood-burning fireplace. Outside, a small (two-person) hot tub, comfortable year-round. There is also a deck, with charcoal grill and patio furniture, etc. The large yard has playground swings, etc., for children. The separate lake frontage has a firepit, picnic table, etc., with dock, plus rowboat and canoe for your use.
House is completely furnished, including linens, towels, cookware, dishes, even food in the fridge for a few breakfasts, all at no extra charge.
