The Place de la Mediterranee at the heart of the town faces the sea, from which spread lively pedestrian streets with shops that stay open until very late. At nightfall, the street vendors set up their stalls on the sea front boulevard, a pleasure for all who stroll past.
We recommend a visit to the nearby shallow lake of Canet-St Nazaire, with its original fisher huts. This is a protected nature area with exceptional fauna (pink flamingos) and flora (bulrushes, reeds...). There is a track to discover the site. There are various golf courses in the area e.g. at St. Cyprien (5 km). Airport 17km. Train: 13 km.
