Vacation Apartment Vence Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur

We are a danish couple with 2 children who have renovated a large house in Vence, Southern France, and have created several light and spacious holiday apartments. The house is centrally yet quietly located in walking distance to restaurants and supermarkets.

The holiday apartments are newly renovated with their own kitchen and bathroom. From the apartments there is access to a terrace with barbecue. Parking is free on the property. All apartments have a nice view over a valley to the forest.

The holiday rental apartments are 50-70 m2 each.
There is also a studio. All apartments have a view over wooded ravines to the surrounding mountains. There is at least one bedroom and the option to add extra beds. All apartments are fully furnished with a couch, bed, chairs etc. The kitchens are fully equipped med dishes, cutlery, refrigerator, microwave oven with grill etc. TV and free WiFi internet access is available in each apartment.

Vence is a small peaceful town in the central Cote d'Azur of the southern France. It is ideally situated for exploration of the surrounding area. Distance is about 15 minutes from Nice airport and 15 km from the Mediterranean.

Vence is a medieval town, where the old town centre has been preserved, with its narrow crooked streets, fountains and cosy restaurants. Vence even has several michelin-star restaurants - and the prices are surprising reasonable

In the town you will find many fascinating historical buildings. We recommend a visit to Chapelle du Rosaire, decorated by Matisse. From the top of Col de Vence (970 m) there is a unique view over the Alps and down the mountains to the Mediterranean.

Vence is one of the most beautifully situated towns along the south coast of France. It offers plenty of opportunities to experience nature, art and culture. You will also find skiing resorts, golf courses etc in the vicinity. Many artists have chosen to settle down in Vence and in the neighbouring town Saint Paul de Vence, among them Cézanne, Chagall og Matisse.

There is a wide range of art shops, potteries etc. Fondation Maegh, an art museum in Saint Paul de Vence ranking among the best in the world is certainly worth a visit. It comprises a sculpture park, exhibition galleries, art workshops and an art library. From Maison de l'Ara a path leads directly to Saint Paul de Vence. The Picasso Museum in Cap d'Antibes is also to be recommended.

If you are into shopping, Cannes and Monaco would be obvious places to go. Every friday there is a huge market in Ventimiglia (Italy), a small trip (about 60 km) from Maison de l'Ara.

The french center of perfume manufacturing is Grasse (25 km), where you can visit the factories and even get to create your own perfume under guidance from the manufacturers experts.

There are plenty of opportunities for fishing, riding and playing tennis. If you are into golfing you will find more than 20 courses within an hours ride.
