Nestled in the beautiful green countryside of Tuscany, Le Selvole offers its guests a comfortable and relaxing stay, and many outdoor activities.
As soon as you leave the famous "Riviera degli Etruschi" (the coast between Livornoand Piombino) and move into the countryside, the face of the scenery changes, becoming more and more wild. Roads are less frequent and Mediterranean bush stretches for hundreds of kilometres. The Upper Cecina Valley, set in this natural, scenic background, is one of the lesser known and undiscovered all parts of Tuscany. The "Agriturismo Le Selvole" farm is situated in an unspoilt spot among green hills, vineyards and olive groves at the foot of the medieval hilltowns of Micciano and Libbiano in the municipality of Pomarance, Pisa province, 20 km from Volterra. "Agriturismo Le Selvole" enjoys a scenic, absolutely tranquil position among cultivated fields and extensive woods, the ideal place for walking and excursions. It is not very far from the Tyrrhenian coast (Cecina 35 km), and from the historic cities of Volterra (20 km), San Gimignano (35 km), Siena (70 km), Pisa (80 km) and Florence (110 km). TheMonterufoli Nature Reserve, with its wealth of minerals and beautiful scenery, is 7 km away. The Marzoli family's attentive management of the farm and the agritourism led to their being awarded the Pisa Chamber of Commerce's "Quality Mark for 2004". With this quality mark the family guarantees management that complies with the "Farmholidays Disciplinary" and the "Quality Farmholidays Handbook". The residence is surrounded by a garden, by a beautiful vineyard and fruit tree. In the garden there is a swimming-pool (7x12 m) and a dependance at guests disposal, with a spacious living room and arcade, the ideal place to rest, play, cook together and barbecue. It is a very nice and quiet place also for reading. In the garden there are also children's playground, table tennis, billiards, bowling green and the barbecue. The annex also has a bathroom with shower, washing-machine and ironing room, heating during the winter, satellite TV and fridge. Here guests can also find information about things to do in the area. There is ample covered car parking. Guests are able to taste local, traditional products and foods.

Arrival

Coming from Florence and Pisa
Take the FI-PI-LI highway direction Pisa; exit at Pontedera and follow the signs for Volterra. Heading towards Volterra, you come to Peccioli, La Rosa and La Sterza. After La Sterza, on the left you will come to a turn-off for Volterra, do not take it and keep following the main road until you reach Saline di Volterra. At the first crossroad turn right towards Cecina and immediately afterwards turn left for Pomarance. Do not leave the main road and at about 1 Km before Pomarance you will find a crossroad to Micciano and Libbiano. Take this road and do not leave it. Down in the valley there are two bridges: pass the first (River Trossa ) and the second (River Adio), after which go up the steep incline, around the bend and immediately after, on the right, there is Le Selvole.

Coming from Cecina
From the Livorno-Civitavecchia highway, take the “Cecina Nord” exit and follow the signs for Volterra. Do not leave the, do not leave the main road until you arrive in Ponteginori. Keep following the main road, until you reach Saline di Volterra. In the center of the village, take the second crossroad on the right Pomarance. Do not leave the main road and at about 1 Km before Pomarance you will find a crossroad to Micciano and Libbiano. Take this road and do not leave it. Down in the valley there are two bridges: pass the first (River Trossa ) and the second (River Adio), after which go up the steep incline, around the bend and immediately after, on the right there is Le Selvole.
