In the heart of Madeira's Santo da Serra region, with its towering green mountains and spectacular views, this magnificent country house, full of light, space and character, lies in an idyllic setting at the end of a private driveway amongst the trees of its extensive garden.

Two characteristically Madeiran verandas run the length of the house, one on each of its two floors, lending a touch of colonial flavour to this gracious building. From these shaded balconies you can look over the swimming pool (10 x 3.5 m), another of the Quinta's strong points (available May-October, shared with guests staying at the property's smaller cottage).

Being within 1 km of the village Santo da Serra (shopping facilities, restaurants), 2 minutes from the Santo da Serra Golf Club, and only 15 minutes from the airport and from the ocean, the property offers you peace and seclusion without the inconvenience of being remote or inaccessible. In a similar manner which applies to the main house, the Quinta grounds can be visited by all visitors and organically produced vegetables can be purchased as and when available.

Accommodation is particularly comfortable comprising spacious (huge even) sitting and dining rooms, both with open fireplaces, 4/5 bedrooms each with twin single beds (and some with washbasins), two full bathrooms, fully fitted kitchen (dishwasher and wash machine included), breakfast room, secondary living room and cloakroom (WC and basin). Central heating is an added benefit during the winter months. Given the size and extensive facilities of the house, we would certainly recommend it as suitable for two families.
