Holiday cottages available for rent in Mouronho, in a pretty village in the Beira Alta region of Central Portugal. The two cottages, which each accommodate up to six people are set in a landscaped garden of 5000 sq. meters; the owners house is on site and has a separate apartment for up to four people, also for rent.

The cottages are comprised of two double bedrooms with twin beds and a spacious lounge with a double sofa bed and satellite TV. Each cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and combi-microwave. The bathroom has a full size bath with shower (thermostatically controlled) toilet and bidet. The cottage has double glazed windows and full insulation and having a wood burning stove. Children’s cot beds are available upon request, please ask when making your reservation. All linen is included and there are no extra charges for cleaning after your departure. Electricity is not included costs € 0,20 kWh.
Washing machine is also available to use for a small fee. There is free internet acces (WiFi )
The area is beautifully forested and surrounded by the mountain ranges of Serra do Caramulo, Serra do Acor, Serra de Lousa and the Serra da Estrella which has the highest point in Portugal. There are many beautiful walks within the area including a 3km trek to the River Alva, there you can find one of the pretty river beaches used locally for bathing.Also within the region are some interesting towns, Arganile (7km) has a busy market every Thursday and Tabua (13km) has a local Sunday market where you can also sample the hot barbecued chicken enjoyed by the local folk.
