    Description of vacation home

    Recommended for a romantic getaway and sightseeing. It's near the ocean and close to the village. set in 5 acres of beautiful tropical gardens and there is a 25m swimming pool with sun loungers,garden chairs and umbrellas and a poolside bar/restaurant.

    Our apartment situated in the prestigious parish of St James on the South West Coast of Barbados which boasts fabulous beaches washed by the Caribbean Sea. 400yds level walk from the apartment at Holetown,
    ther is a fully stocked supermarket, shopping malls, banks and frequent public transport.
    There are a choice of restaurants nearby from fast food to fine dining.

    Poolside Restaurant offers a good menu from Western dishes to Chinese which are very reasonably priced.
    Wi Fi available.

    This apartment is situated on the third floor of this apartment complex.
    There are two elevators from reception which is manned 24 hours
    with a telephone in the apartment.

    There are two, two seater sofas on the private sun terrace for some serious sunbathing or to just relax and read a book.

    Barbados is the most popular of the Caribbean Islands, and enjoys a year round climate, with daytime temperatures of 27°C to 31°C. Night temperatures hardly vary, with the lowest winter temperatures of 23°C to 25°C.

    The first white settlers landed in Barbados in 1627 and they arrived at what is now Holetown. There is a commemorative stone and two canons close to the Post Office and Police Station.

    Barbados gained its independance in 1967 and is still very British with driving on the left. Cricket is the National Sport and one of the Islands most famous son's is Sir Garfield Sobers. You can always find a cricket match going on somewhere.! Horse racing is at the Garrison Savannah and Polo is at Holders Hill or Lion Castle or Westmoreland.

    From January to April is the National Trust's Open House programme where local Sugar Plantation Houses and fabulous homes are open to the public. You can use your UK membership here. Barbados is 21 miles by 14 miles

    The people are very friendly and welcoming. Golden View is near to public Transport. 400 metres.
