Situated on the slopes of Sete Cidade's crater, the 100 year old estate has an excellent view of the Atlantic Ocean and the village of Mosteiros. It is this privileged location in a area of farming and cow pastures that offers guests a special peace and quiet, interrupted only by the distant sounds of cow bells and local farmers. Sea-lovers encounter a one-of -a-kind experience down in Mosteiros at the 'Praia de Areia' (Sand Beach) and at the natural swimming pools hidden along the volcanic coastline, 2 km from property. We suggest exploring the sea bottom next to the islets. In the village you can find three restaurants offering fresh fish, and ... a genuine pizzeria! Still other outings such as the places of Ferraria and Sete Cidades, offer more 'adventures' for visitors. Casa da Lomba (The House on the Hill) is a small paradise 800 m from the village of Mosteiros, on the island of São Miguel. Six beautiful cottages are set within a spacious tree-shaded garden, each one completely private with its own barbecue, tables and lounge chairs. The sea view and the sunset are unforgettable. Upon arriving, guests will find everything they need for quick meals - fruits, jams, cheese. eggs, bread, milk, etc.. Local shops of Mosteiros supply all that is necessary for everyday needs. The fishing port of Mosteiros guarantees a varied supply of fresh fish.
Cottages are tastefully decorated with traditional, rustic collections from the island of São Miguel and come well equipped to guarantee guests comfort. A laundry room with washing machine and iron/ironing board is available for guests (self-service).
Casas Novas (New Houses) - recently built detached cottages with 2 bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin), equipped kitchen, bathroom and an ample living room with fireplace. There are a total of 4 detached cottages, built in amphitheatre, each with its own terrasse with a magnificent sea view, the coast of Mosteiros at their feet. Garden furniture and barbecue available.

This part of the island , situated within a vast network of rural roads and paths, is particularly favourable for horseback riding. From here, it is possible to ride up the slopes and hills of the Sete Cidades crater, continue on through the ridges, and finally , on down to the lake. Available horses range from easy riders for the less experienced riders, to Lusitano pure-breeds for the more discerning horseman. All rides are guided (guests who wish to ride should sign a 'responsibility waiver' contract). Horse open sleigh tours also available.
