Elegant apartment recently renovated the property.
The property is an old family mansion of the early 900 right in front of one of the most representative monuments of the city of Catania : the Castello Ursino.
The house is well exposed, sunny and bright. The design (by the architect/owner) was prepared in every detail to give maximum comfort to guests. There is a heating system and air-conditioned in the main and common rooms and fan system in all other spaces. A accurate system to guarrantee confort and well stay. Thermal comfort has been taken into serious consideration in arranging the rooms and all openings have been equipped with solar shading system.
The wide open spaces and the exposure of the house provide a perfect stay in the middle of the city.
The spacious apartment is provided with all the accessories and equippment to allow guests to feel at home. It's composed by 3 bedrooms very large and comfortables: two of them, about 25sqm each, have a balcony with views of the medieval castle (each balcony has a breakfast table with 2 chairs very nice to have coffee, tea or aperitiv looking at the medieval castle) and another one, about 16 square meters ( with balcony) is equipped with air conditioning.
A large kitchen and dining room ( more than 25 sqm ) has all the main amenities (fridge with freezer, kettle, microwaves, electric oven, toaster, boiler, pots) and it's directly connetcted with the hall-living room with sofas and armchairs with a SKY TV (cinema, sport and football) and SAT TV and with a winter garden with a wonderful and amazing skylight. This is the heart of the whole apartment: the “winter garden” it's equipped with ornamental plants and a mezzanine with relaxing sofa, home theatre, projector with maxi screen, surround. The furniture is made from original pieces and is a mix of ancient and original (1800 and 1900) and from pieces of contemporary design. Particular attention has been given to the arrangement of the rooms. A particularity: were chosen beds in untreated natural wood and without metallic components to minimize the electromagnetic fields during the night.
The entire building is recent restored and is like a private and quite corner in the middle of the city, overlooking a wonderful castle and inserted in the heart of one of the gastronomical center of the city. the square on which the building faces is full of good restaurants where you can taste excellent traditional Sicilian dishes and good wines.
The historic market called "La Pescheria" is just behind the corner. Few steps for the Duomo, Via Etnea, Roman amphitheater, opera house, amenano river. Five minutes walking from a bus station with connections to the main city around: Siracusa, Taormina, Ragusa, Noto, Agrigento, Palermo.
